Superb storyline & plot

Having read and wholeheartedly enjoyed the whole series of this Manga, i must say i had gotten so attached to reading about the fate of each of these children, who all came from very diverse backgrounds and are joined only by their special powers which they acquired at a greatly traumatic time in their lives. There is enough humor and sentimental stuff incorporated in the plot, that it keeps you entertained to the fullest extend. This book is the finale of a great story with beautiful artwork, and real life emotions, which made it easy to relate to things experienced in this series. That this book meant the end was something of a bummer, and it left me craving more of this kind of quality Manga. I truly appreciated the tactfulness of this Manga, not having extreme sexual implications, or horridly bloody scenes, and therefore this series is quite suitable to younger readers. I let my girls who are not teens read this without feeling that they were exposed to inappropriate material. By far my most favorite manga!!

A great series comes to its end

This tenth volume of +Anima concludes the adventures of the characters introduced in the first volume: Cooro, the cheerfully impetuous crow-winged boy; Husky, the sulky hot-headed mer-boy who can't stand girls; Senri, the silent older youth whose right-arm is that of a bear; and Nana, the chatty bat-winged girl who main defense is her ultrasonic scream. This volume wraps things up, with the kids returning to Cooro's home and discovering the secrets of his origins. There are six stories in this volume. In "The White Shadow", the kids decide to visit the town of Kilter, where the church and the research-facility where Cooro spent his early childhood are. On their first night there, Cooro is visited by a mysterious white shadow. In "Opening Pandora's Box", Nana and Husky investigate the mystery of the white shadow they saw and discover a hidden chamber containing what appears to be an angel. In "My Anima", the kids encounter Fly and Marca and learn that the research facility can remove their +anima from them if they desire, an option that Nana and Husky consider taking. In "Crystal", the kids learn about the secret of the angel, a creature whose name is Blanca, and learn about promises that Cooro made long ago to Fly, one of which he is still bound by. Nana, Husky and Senri leave Kilter while Cooro stays behind to keep his promise to Fly. In "Goodbye", Cooro keeps his promise to Fly, while Nana, Husky and Senri decide to return to Kilter and save Cooro. But on the way, they encounter a strange creature who tells them the real secret of Cooro's origin. In the sixth story, "Hill of Fluttering Wings", Blanca takes flight, we discover what Fly's plans were all along and what he did with Cooro's +anima, and Nana, Husky and Senri must track down Cooro who has left Kilter. They find Cooro, and Cooro makes his choice of what destiny he will follow. I found myself saddened by the fact that this is the last volume of a really enjoyable series. You really come to care about Cooro, Husky, Nana and Senri, and it's hard to let them go. My only hope is that perhaps the author will one day see fit to return to this world and these characters and bring us new stories of their lives and adventures. This is a really great manga series with great characters and a truly interesting set of plot lines that kept yielding surprises all the way to the end. Highly, highly recommended for anyone who enjoys this genre.

+Anima ^_^

I love this series because it has a good storyline, grate artwork, and the humor is well thought out. All of the main characters have interesting personality flaws, because of some traumatic event in there past. All of the symptoms of there traumatic experiences are shown before the event is revealed. So it is fun to guess what is about to happen. All in all it is a grate book, that is entertaining on a simple and intellectual level. My only complaint is that this is the last book.

LOVE THIS ONE!

I LOVE TO COLLECT THESE BOOKS - I MISSED OUT ON VOLUME 1 & 2, BUT I HAVE 3-10 AND HAVE LOVED READING THEM ALL. I'M 14 YEARS OLD AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHER YOUNG TEENS.
