Another fine job by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor

A book that continues the series of Alice McKinley. Her fear of swimming in deep water takes its toll over the summer-Will her friends find out? Excuses can only work for a little while, then what will she do? Read to find the conclusion to this great book!

A great way to get over your fear!

Alice is a seventh grader going on to eighth grade. But, Alice has a dark secret. Alice is deeply afraid of deep water. Alice is to ashamed to tell her friends that. In the summer, Alice and her friend go a friends pool almost everyday. So, Alice's brother takes her to his friend's pool to teach her how to swim in deep water. Alice is very scared. But she tries and she tries and she tries and she got it. Now, over the summer Alice can join her friends in the pool instead of staying home with her brother.

Alice the Brave

One of the stories I liked was Alice the Brave I would give this book at least five stars. It's about this girl named Alice who has a very deep fear of water. She's in a club which is more like a swimming club. Her friends meet at a pool and swim almost every day. Alice just stays at the 2foot part of the pool. Toward the end of the story her brother Lester teaches her how to swim. My overall opinion about this book is that you can relate it to your lives or things that happen in teenage years. My favorite part is when she over comes her fear. The only thing I didn't like was that it could of been a little better or more specific. If you don't think this review is very detailed then read the book! If you like fear, romance, sillyness, and of course happy endings read this book.

Very Entertaining!

Teenager Alice has to overcome many obstacles that many teenagers face, and is funny and entertaining! I highly reccomend this book! The other books in the 'Alice' series are also very good.

Cute book

I really like Naylors book. All her Alice books are entertaining and good. She writes like Alice is really a person and she talks about subjects that are really something kids her age do. Alice is so like "real" children her age, yet totally herself. I think this is a good book to read if you just want to have a good time and relaxe.
