An intimate and deeply spiritual recounting of moments spent with the Master--working on the yard, hiking in the mountains, or simply surveying some magnificent expanse of land and sky.
This is a good book to use as devotional material. In the intro Keller makes note that this should be read slow. I agree. Every word was apparently carefully selected and the descriptions in this book are vivid. Recommended for anyone who enjoys nature.

Really getting into God's nature

This book is a must for any Christian who loves the great outdoors. Mr. Keller's book of short nature stories served as a devotional to my wife and I for two read-throughs. His description of the land around his western Canadian home gave me a feeling of not only being next to nature but truly appreciating what God has created for us to enjoy. An environmentalist would enjoy Mr. Keller's stories of striving to keep nature pure and couldn't help but come away praising God's awesome creation. It isn't a "heavy" read but one that everyone who loves God and His natural creation will enjoy.
