Good High-Level Book on Database Technology

"A Manager's Guide to Database Technology" provides a straightforward introduction and overview of important database concepts. Utilizing real-life scenarios, this book highlights the importance of databases and database technology. Databases in general will play an increasingly important role in our increasingly digital world, in my opinion.
