Love Hermie!

The Hermie and Friends series of books and DVDs in an awesome beginning tool for kids about God's love, following his commandments, and prayer. It is very simple, but adorable and the pictures are great. My son loves these characters at 5 and did at 3. I expect several more years of Hermie.This book has stories on "Buzby the Misbehaving Bee" (his favorite), "Flo the Lying Fly" (great lesson about how lying keeps people from believing you next time), "Webster the Scaredy Spider" (about being brave), and "Hermie" and his friend Wormie and how they pray to God and learn to trust Him.

Cute story, good teachings

Bought this book for my 2 sons who are 7 & 4. They enjoy the stories. Yesterday I taught kids church for the 3-6 year olds, and read 'Buzby the Misbehaving Bee'. The kids enjoyed the story and got very into talking about what they thought. The pictures are nice and bright and help keep them interested.

Recommended Reading for Tots

My toddler loves this book now because of the vibrantly colorful pictures. As he gets older and can comprehend storylines better, he will appreciate Max Lucado's Buddies, as well. :) Thank you for offering Max Lucado in kiddy version.

Lessons for "teachable moments"

The four areas covered in the four stories (commonness, lying, fear, misbehaving)are easy for a child to comprehend and apply to daily life. To 'hear and see' the stories and pictures is as effective as being able to 'read and see' them. Each story is also a good starting place for discussion on the topic. The book was enjoyed by a grandchild during 'Grandma Camp Story Time' who later returned to read and enjoy the book alone.
