A great many styles to choose from.

This book has a very good variety of styles to choose from, clearly written, and illustrated. Just looking at it made me order yarn for 3 different ones!

Lots of good choices

This book has so much variety in booties. I'm a new knitter and chose the Herringbone booties as my second project. It was quite a learning curve but I really wanted to learn how to do them so I could make special presents for my friends. There are so many good choices in here that you have a hard time choosing. Definitely a good choice for your knitting library. I've also knit the wedding booties as a christening gift. So far, no corrections needed. The patterns were perfect.

Wonderful source!

I thought this book was charming, the photography is great, the bootees are very unique. Eventhough others have commented on the book not offering 50 different templates for booties, I feel it's the designs, the accessories, the creative embellishments that make each set very different from the next even if the actual pattern for the bootee repeats. If your interested in making bootees besides the traditional kind, this book is an excellent choice. There is enough variety to make any mother and baby happy. This is not a good book for a knitter who already understands how to improvise with knitting, in your case, just get the basic pattern and do your own embellishments.

Great Bootie Book

I LOVE this book!! I have been knitting for 30 years and have a ton of pattern books. (I started knitting at 10.) This book is FULL of REALLY cute booties. I have made some of the patterns and have been very happy with the results. Most only require 1-2 balls of yarn and so make an inexpensive gift even using a more expensive yarn. As a 40 yr old mother of 5 I have little spare time. I knit while relaxing and listening to books on tape or watching TV. These beautiful little projects are perfect for that. I HIGHLY recommend this book.

too cute!

I've never knitted booties and don't have any children of my own, yet I love this book. I'm planning on converting at least one pair (lamb head booties) into adult size slippers. There is even a spot on the back cover of the book with the outline of the different bootie sizes, to make sizing easier. Just plop the kid down on top of the book, and you have the correct bootie size. Great! [EDIT: After knitting some of these, I've noticed a few errors in the patterns. Note, I have the first printing, so this may not be an issue by the current printing. However. It is advised you take the time to read through the entire pattern, adding up stitches, so you don't end up blindly making mistakes. Due to this, I'd say the patterns are of medium to advanced difficulty.]
