Good High level History

This is a good book that pools together a lot of the information available on this unit and gives some nice narrative entries from some of the officers. It does not contain much detail regarding the individuals that served in the enlisted ranks (probably because very little exists in the public domain). One handy reference is the Mustering rolls. Many of these are available on-line but this seems to contain more detail than I have seen elsewhere. Good reference on the unit as a whole. Details on individual enlisted men are hit or miss. Good for what it is but would have been nice to have more detail about the soldiers.
