The story of Atticus and Finch begins on what Atticus thought was going to be a normal day at soccer practice. Atticus had always been a little quirky, weird even, but weird does not even begin to describe the journey he finds himself more or less forced to embark upon.His teammate, the mysterious, pale, and often sarcastic, Finch, known only by his surname, decides a partnership would be advantageous to their survival through what can only be defined(though regularly debated) as a zombie apocalypse, in the middle of Washington D.C. Finch's penchant for shovels, and nonchalant attitude about being a vampire, both confound and impress Atticus, as they unravel the mystery behind the origin of their city's sudden zombie infestation.With a shotgun, various shovels, and even a fire extinguisher at some point, Atticus and Finch find themselves in the middle of something perhaps bigger than just a zombie apocalypse. Joining them on a quip filled, and mostly ridiculous, journey to the truth, are Finch's flamboyantly charming recluse of an uncle, and the enigmatic, sword-wielding, Trace Anh Le.
