Coeducation Arrived Late

This is a wonderful, detailed book that points out the less obvious details of change in an American educational institution where changed was necessary. Through the eyes of a few pioneering students, we see how much force it takes to knock down the walls of bias, discrimination, and arrogance. That it happened so recently is eye-opening. Equality remains an ideal, but the struggles to achieve it reveal themselves in unlimited linking events, both subtle and monumental. This story is a subset of that larger story, highly worth telling and reading.
