Its not always easy being a witch. Or a psychic. Rachael Penzra happens to be both, and to her extreme annoyance, shes not very good in either role. When she inherits a house and business from her eccentric Aunt Josie, she feels it should be more than enough for a woman who had struggled for years as a single mother of three. It would be ideal, if only she could eliminate some of the people in her life. She finds herself collecting a great majority of the eccentric, the unusual, and the just plain weird humanoids within a ten-mile radius. Even her new dog is a little different. Nonetheless, it never occurs to her that anybody annoying her could be eliminated by such a simple act as murder. Somebody thought of it, though, and dumped a body in her house. Its a deadly case of the body, in the parlor, with the knife. The problem was that nobody knew who-dunnit, and clues seemed to be few and far apart. Adding insult to injury, Rachael finds herself not only targeted as a suspect, but also coerced by the victims mother into promising that shell try to use her errant psychic powers to locate the killer. She agrees merely as a token kindness. Unfortunately, nobody remembers to reassure the murderer that her powers are wobbly at best, and due to their unreliability, downright dangerous at times, usuallly to her. Witch One Dunnit? is a perfect cozy that puts you under its zany spell with wacky humor, eccentric characters, and a mystery that keeps you guessing until the end! ~ Kristina Schram, author of The Chronicles of Anaedor: The Prophecy ~
