Jack Dunlap, a rising young insurance executive, chooses to leave his promising business career for the world of law enforcement, resulting in his wife filing for divorce. A now divorced Dunlap soon learns the frustrations, dangers and difficulties of working as a police officer and eventually as an FBI Agent where he encounters a series of complicated kidnappings, bombings, and organized crime that shake his confidence in his career choice. Dunlap establishes friendships and deep relationships which help to carry him through the difficult investigations he faces, including the murder of his best friend.After graduation from Michigan State University, the author, Lynn K. Enyart, began his law enforcement career as a police officer in Oakland, California, followed by 25 years as an FBI Agent and Supervisory Agent. Following retirement from the Bureau, Enyart was employed for 10 years as a private investigator, security consultant and security director for a large airline. He currently resides in Northern Michigan with his family.
