Mankind was always so comfortable with Earth, and the planets it colonized in the early 70s were only worlds whose nature and appearance reflected our first home. Everywhere man has travelled, no matter how far into space, the worlds he has set down on always always somehow reminded him of where he was born. However, with the excursion undertaken by the U.S.S. Cassiopeia and its crew of 8 men, that comfort, that fix called Earth, was shattered.
