At last I got the hold of this book. I come from Norway, and I could only find the book at the library, it is not to find in stores anymore. But what is the use for me?? I needed to have it in my bookshelf. I hoped to get the hold of the Norwegian, but the english written book is translated correct. Many patterns to follow, and you get inspired to make many new ones from this book. I say go ahead and buy it. You would not be disapointed. But you got to know how to knit, it is for you people whos been knitting for a while.
Not only socks and mittens, but great for re-enactment

This book is rather hard to find, and covers the Swedish folkcraft method of two-end knitting. The patterns are created by making raised stitches with one end of yarn while knitting with the other. There are many pictures of antique knits (helpful for re-enactors) and info on fringing and embroidery. A must-have reference for folk knitters or for anyone interested in reproducting old-style stockings, hats and vest. Versatile book.
