Excellent Book - helps you understand the full impact of abuse

I studied this book in grad school several years ago. It really opened my heart to those who have been abused and gives great ideas on how to treat them. To me the most valuable thing was to finally understand why some youth and adults do things that seem so bazaar to the rest of us. I marked many pages "c & e" that is: cause and effect. When a person is abused this way it MAY effect the person this way.

Worthwhile for treating adolescents

This book provides excellent guidance for treating abused adolescents as well as serves as a great therapy primer.

Wonderful clinical information

What a great introduction to treating teens with abusehistories! I found this book very user-friendly, approaching adifficult topic with a tremendous amount of compassion and understanding. It is clear she really cares for her clients. I'd happily recommend it to anyone who works with this population.
