A widowed father...a heartbroken nanny...and a wagon train journey that will change their lives forever.Since the death of her fianc , Anne Forbes has given up on the life she thought she'd have.... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is book 3 in the Great Wagon Road series although it can be read as a standalone. A well crafted story that takes you on a perilous journey in 1753. It was a test of endurance, faith, and strength of character to complete the arduous adventure to follow your dream of a better life. I admire the people that attempted this and while some failed due to circumstances beyond their control they had what it took to at least try. Anne wants more than being a nanny to her nephews and holds the dream of being a tailor close to her heart, but when love nips at her heels will she run or accept the gift that God has placed in her life. She is a kind and compassionate woman willing to help others along the way and Michael admires her tenacity. Michael is a wonderful hero overcoming grief as he steps in to help. A tender tale with historical details that captures your heart. I’m so glad I discovered this author at the beginning of the series and I look forward to reading more. Pick up a copy and settle in for an enjoyable read.
