Devastatingly Beautiful

There is no wonder why this book was a Pulitzer Prize finalist. There is an rich, beautiful, intensity to this book that I cannot say I have experienced in my reading as of late. Truly haunting and wonderful book.

This book will haunt you, and you’ll love it.

This is a title that I’ve repurchased 6+ times since the first. I keep giving it away! These stories, the voices this author creates, will resonate powerfully. A modern tale of coming together, connectivity, and the predictable unpredictability of life. Tommy Orange will take a piece of your heart for keeps, and deserves it.

Not what I was expecting

This was a book club pick and was outside of the norm for me. I liked it and it’s extremely well written. Very thought provoking!

Wonderful Book for all Lovers of A good story

An incredibly interesting and unique story weaving characters complicated lives and bittersweet stories together into and event you will be glad you followed them to. Natives have a bright and bold voice in Tommy Orange.

This book will stay with me

I have curated a collection of books to re-read, and "There There" is among them now. Tommy Orange is an Author on my watch for more list.

Unique and well put together!

The book does an amazing job of following 12 characters and ultimately bringing them all together. Orange does a great job of keeping things organized; it is easy to keep track of who is who and what their stories are. He was inspired by Louise Erdrich so if you are a fan of her books you’ll be interested in this one. I would read it again and again to understand all of the themes (also because it’s that good).
