Well written as always, but…

It is set in suburbia sometime between the late 1950’s or 60’s I think and the struggle the protagonist has is still applicable, but rather dated. A good read, nonetheless.

A very human story -- this could be you

"The Year of the Lucy" is one of the best McCaffrey books I have read. It is not like the Pern series, but is a real life story of a woman trying to find herself. It is excellent.
