I read and used this book when I was 17 - it is really informative and taught me how to eat in a balanced way. Once I knew how to balance my food, I didn't have to fret about it so much, so it actually made dealing with eating easier, not harder. I'm sorry some people think reading one book caused their eating disorder. My sister was anorexic and bulimic and oddly never read this book - it was just a tendency she had, and had to deal with. I think blaming a book for such a thing is irresponsible.
