I love Charmed

I chose this book because in the past I have purchased another two of them and I found them very very beautiful. Read one of them is like watching an episode of "Charmed"...they are also economic, so...BUY THEM!

CHARMED

THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS ON TV GOT ALL THE SHOWS NOW WORKING ON THE BOOKS

a good book... just a bit disappionted

i love Charmed so i was thrilled when i bought "the warren witches". but i was a bit disappointed in some of the stories. i thought i was going to discover more about the charmed ones' ancestors... WITHOUT piper, phoebe and paige. but over-all, it was a good book- especialy for charmed obbsessed fans... like me.

Charmed

The book was excellent though not what I expected. I had been hoping for more of a tale of history of the girls whole line. Instead is was a series of great stories that did reveal more of the girls history just not as much as I wanted. It was a great read from finished to end. Anyone who reads the series will be more than satisfied!

Not a bad book....

I was really excited when I picked this book up in B'Dalton 'cause I thought 'Finally, stories about Warren witches BEFORE the Charmed Ones' I was a little disappointed that most of the stories had Paige/Piper/Phoebe in them. Ratings of stories: The Warren Witches contains the following eight stories: 1) OLD FRIEND by Laura J. Burns (Inherit the Witch). While dining at the Manor, Emily, Paige's college friend, reads a spell from the Book of Shadows and disappears. Following her trail, the sisters travel back in time to the 1920s and discover Emily's secret. (Rating: ****) - Good story, nice characterizations 2) THE CRUCIBLE by Micol Ostow (Changeling Places). The sisters help a high school student tormented by classmates who are spurred on by a demon of discord. Rating (**-1/2) - Played out like a 'Charmed' episode would but I wasn't really impressed with it. 3) PATTY'S AWAKENING by Greg Elliot. 16 year old Patty, mother of the Charmed Ones, contemplates giving up her powers, marrying her boyfriend, and leading a normal life. Yet visions of her future children in peril give her pause. (Rating: ****) - One of the best stories in this collection. It was nice to see Patty vanquish her first demon and her first time writing in the Book of Shadows. 4) SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW by Paul Ruditis (The Brewing Storm). The sisters travel back in time to stop Prudence Warren, Melinda's daughter, from giving up her powers. --- (Rating **-1/2) After the 'Brewing Storm', I was really excited to see Mr. Ruditis in another Charmed book but I was disappointed in this story. 5) PRECONCEIVED by Erica Pass. The sisters travel back in time to save their teenage mother from a warlock. (Rating: ***) -- I was amused to see Patty being flippant with Grams... nice story but kinda boring. 6) WITCH TRAP by Cameron Dokey (Haunted by Desire et al.)The sisters- you guessed it- travel back in time to the gold- rush era to save a woman from allegations of witchcraft. (Rating *-1/2) - Cameron Dokey has good ideas for stories, she (in my opinion) needs a lesson in how to bring about the endings. It seems she's nervous about how to write the last part and so finishes it a bit too quickly. 7) OLD FAMILY RECIPE by Diana G. Gallagher (Dark Vengeance et al.) Piper unknowingly bakes bewitched apple pies for a police bake sale- and her family. (Rating: ***) - I always enjoy Miss Diana's stories :) She's got the quirks of everybody down and has a good sense of storytelling. 8) FAMILY HISTORY by Laura J. Burns. An ancient demon attacks the Warren Witches in several time periods simultaneously, endangering the Charmed Ones' past, present, and future. (Rating - ***) One of my favorite stories from this book. The villain was different and I liked Paige's 'Magical Conference Call' and how all the ancestors banded together to vanquish this god/demon. I did enjoy some of these stories.. .I just wish there would've been more about the Halliwells' ances
