Flashes of insight mixed with strange theology, incomplete convoluted construction.

It is difficult to recommend this book to anyone. If you confused about the words of Jesus, this book will only confuse you more. If you think you understand his words, the book will leave you perplexed too. While the section on the English poets was interesting, it did not support the authors claim. There is no question that the author has done some, probably copious, mental work on questions of philosophy, societal constructs and faith, but the text does not read with congruent logic. Maybe a braver editor and a meek Bible scholar are needed to sculpt a more useable text.
