Elizabeth McCade fights against the inner passions that are drawing her into the arms of Black Hawk, a handsome Chickasaw leader. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is by far my favorite romance novel. Granted I read it for the first time many years ago, but it stuck with me. I rarely read romance, but for some reason I picked this one up. I read it in one night. Basically the plot is; Elizabeth McCade has had a lot of painful life experiences which drive her to become a bit of a recluse. One night Black Hawk stumbles into her cellar, injured. The usual events take place and the two fall for one another. Most of the dialog takes place between the hero and lady but I found it to aid in the development of their characters and relationship. I don't believe people usually read romance novels for stimulating, intellectual reading. If you want a nice story to read in front of a warm fire on a cold winters' night I highly recommend this book.
