Very simple but amazing content

This book contains 10 lectures by Okawa on his core teachings. It explains the teachings of Happy Science very well. I will purchase more books by Okawa.

Seeking the Truth

I really enjoyed this book and found it very enlightening. What I like most about it is the way the author explains incredible Truth in such uncomplicated and easy to understand ways. I have never known such deep subjects explained so clearly and logically. I will definitely read more books by the same author.

An Important Book for 21st Century Seekers of Truth

It is difficult to find books that are truly relevant and useful to our lives in an age where we are bombarded with information overload and the constant wave of junk media that has little value beyond the changing of the seasons and latest trends. Many of us are looking and seeking for real answers that will bring real benefits to our lives - teachings that allow us, with our efforts, to cultivate sustainable levels of love, happiness, creativity, harmony and progress, and to evolve so that we are able to pass these precious things (that humanity seems to be losing with each passing day) onto others that will result in a better world for us, our children and future generations to come. This is one such precious book that guides us onto that path. It is so condensed with wisdom and useful, practical advice that I could feel the love and consideration of each word written in each paragraph. Usually, a book from an author would be able to break down the essence of the book into two or three points. In The Science of Happiness, each chapter could be expanded into a book in itself. Each principle (e.g. happiness, love, the mind, enlightenment, progress, wisdom, utopia, reflection, prayer...) is very inspiring and deep that repeated readings is definitely recommended. I have only read the book once, but feel I need to read it again in the near future to truly absorb the beauty of its contents. If you feel you want to take the next step to happiness through practical steps, then I do whole-heartedly recommend this book. It really has opened a wonderful new world for me I never knew existed.

Amazing Grace

I recommend that anyone searching for happiness and enlightenment read this book. It clarifies the unifying principles of all major religions. It explains just about everything, so it's a fairly deep read. If you aren't familiar with `Science of Happiness', perhaps you should start with Part Two or Three in the book. After you get some practical information, you will probably have a better understanding of the first two parts. Ryuho Okawa has written hundreds of wonderful books. A great many of them are best-sellers in Japan. Some of them are practical, and others more esoteric. My recommendations for a first read would be; "The Essence of Buddha", or "The Laws of the Sun." I'm sure you can find many books by Ryuho Okawa in English available on line, or through your book store. Please read any of them. I know you will be pleased.

Surprising and very inspiring

When I first saw the title of the book, I was expecting it to be more of a psychology book with scientific approaches and tactics to become happy. However, this book was quite different from what I expected, and nothing like other self-help books or how-to-be-happy books. While this book does not give step-by-step instructions on how to become happy, it offers fundamental principles that really made me think about my spirituality. Especially, "Prayer for Creating Utopia" in the last chapter was very touching, and I think it was worth buying this book just to be able to read this prayer.

awesome and brilliant!!

This book is amazing! It is rare that I would read a book more than once. The book's emphasis is on how to develop inner resources for a sense of happiness. This book is for anyone who believes that happiness is a learned behavior that requires daily practice. Its greatest strengths are its clearity, practical applications, and spiritually. I thought, this book talks about more scientific way of happiness. It wasn't scientific, but also more spiritual truth in it. It is very interesting that is a very rational approach to the subject of well-being. Those ten principles were very practical to human's life. I was very impressed that Ryuho Okawa explained about 10 principles of divine nature so easily. But those words of explanation have many different hidden meanings. Every time I read, I found new discoveries. I hope everyone feel same way. Everybody enjoy reading this book!
