A Spiritually Nutritious Book

Prayer is a part of every book of the Bible--prayers people pray, instructions about praying, the results of prayer. Our hearts are turned to God when we pray about our needs and out of our joy and pain. Stormie Omartian takes the reader through nearly every book of the Bible from first to last in devotional messages drawn from the Bible's teachings on prayer. We get good spiritual nutrition by combining Bible study and prayer as we work our way through these devotions. As Omartian suggests, we can go further and read the scripture passage in its context and study what the passage teaches about prayer. Omartian's closing prayer guides our own prayer and helps us learn to connect to God's power through prayer based on God's Word.

This book is a great companion to read along with the Bible.

I keep this book at my bedside with my Bible. Stormie Omartian is a great writer and teacher.

Wonderful devotion/study guide

I'm only about 1/4 of the way through but Praying through the Bible is wonderful! It provides a better understanding of the scripture and had helped me relate the Bible to my own life and present day situations. I can't wait to finish!
