This book deals with the hard hitting facts of women. Embracing the true woman God has placed inside you and the power He has given you. This book is truly amazing and will step on your toes along the way. Michelle gets straight to the root of the matter while, at the same time, using a little sense of humor to soften the blow.

A book for true Christians, Soul Searching

I have just finished reading this book and can't wait to read it again. Very powerful book. The people who won't like this are the women libbers, still burning their bras. She backs EVERYTHING up, by providing a bible verse and for a Christian, the bible is the TRUTH. I do believe that some people may not be ready in their life to hear what she has to say. She states like it is and how it SHOULD be. Women Unite together and stop adultery in its tracks, Celebrate one another, Love one another. The book will reveal where your true spirit is. Very Good Book!!

I'm reading this book for the second time and I think it's a really good and informative book for people who want to know what femininity is according to God's design. Michelle McKinney Hammond is a Christian and gives a Christian perspective, backing it up with scriptures and stories from the Bible. Men and women are very different, so we can't expect to act the same way and get the kind of results we're looking for...Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus told us that too...we have different means of communicating and getting what we need, and they balance each other out. But even though we are different, we are equal and she makes that point from the very beginning. The book points out many different Godly women in the Bible (including female leaders) and how they used their femininity to get what they wanted without acting butch or using manly tactics to compete with the men around them. She also points out women in the Bible who abused their femininity or who acted in a way contrary to their femininity and shows how they lost respect from men, explains what went wrong and why. But all in all, everything in this book emphasizes the power that we have as women to affect change in every area of our lives. It's not a pushover book saying that women are weak and should sit down... In fact, she shows us that we have more power than we think we do, how we do have a voice, how we can be decision makers, how we can still do and accomplish everything a man does without being intimidating and macho. She shows that the more we try to gain respect using the same tactics that men use, we just make them resist us even more and the cycle continues. So I think if you want to stop that cycle in your own life and become the woman that God created you to be (respected, equal, powerful, influential, loved and even more attractive than you already are) then you should read this book and ask God to help you understand His word because what she says comes from right out of the Bible.
