Joey Zykowski lives next door to his piano teacher Mrs. Carter in the small town of Hoyer, Texas. Every Wednesday, Mrs. Carter leaves her house at 8 am and returns around 9 pm. Joey has asked Mrs. Carter where she goes on Wednesdays, but Mrs. Carter changes the subject anytime asked. Determined to solve the mystery of where Mrs. Carter goes on Wednesdays, Joey enlists the help of his friends Angela Martinez and Chris Carter. Together, they solve the mystery amid a hurricane that wallops Hoyer. In the end, the friends must be brave to protect the secret of Mrs. Carter's double life.
