The year is 1982. Four months after the British Embassy is attacked, the Head of Bonn Station for MI6, Britain's foreign intelligence service, is murdered along with his family in a West Berlin apartment.

Forty years after the events in Tehran and West Berlin, ex-SAS officer Tom Miller, now working in MI7's Black Ops unit, receives a call from an Iranian terrorist group about an impending terror attack. The call changes everything the British Government and its security services thought they knew about Russian and Iranian efforts to infiltrate and destabilise British society through disinformation, cyber warfare, and state-sponsored terrorism. It also forces Tom to confront events from forty years ago that changed his life in ways that he could never have imagined.

Soon Tom Miller finds himself battling not only Russia's infamous foreign and military intelligence services, the SVR and GRU, and Iran's Revolutionary Guard, but also those who were responsible for what happened in Tehran and West Berlin in 1982 and who will stop at nothing to avenge the actions of the Old Fox.
