Fun, entertaining rhyming book

My 2 year old twins love this book. The rhyming text captures their attention as well as the lively pictures. There are lots of items I can ask them to find and count on the pages. Additionally, there are places in the text that are perfect for asking them to predict what is going to happen. Also, at the end of the book the family says a prayer of thanks which is a great place for me to show my children that other people pray to God, too.

Merry Thanksgiving

I love this book. My 2.5 year old daughter also loves this book. It brings about the festiveness you usually feel at Christmastime but for Thanksgiving. Told in the classic 'Twas the Night before Christmas' style, it has laughs, tradition and warmth all wrapped up in a book that is perfect to curl up with some hot apple cider and share with the whole family.

Just Picked This One Up

i was at Walden Books Yesterday and my wife called and asked me to pickup a Thanksgiving book for our three year old son. There were Biscuit and Clifford Thanksgiving books but I settled on this one. Told in the same manner as The Night Before Christmas, it follows really a traditional American Family Thanksgiving celebration including all the activities and preparation that goes into this great holiday. Actually its not so much about the night before as it is the day of, but that's ok. What appealed to me was how much it had in common with my own family's Thanksgiving from waking up in the morning and watching the parades, to family coming over for dinner. My three year old really enjoyed it!

My one and three year old love this book as much as I do. Great pictures and fun to read.

Thankfull

What a fun book! With the familiar syntax of Clement Moore's "'Twas the Night before Christmas", this story combines the hectic pace of preperation with all the familiar elements of the big day. From cooking to relatives to football to the parades, my 6 year old delights in the families preperations. The story promotes togetherness as family and includes a pause to give thanks for what they have.The illustations are colorful and a delight to our youngsters eyes.
