The Mountains Are Watching is a novel about wildlife struggling to survive in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Area and Yellowstone National Park. Characters include a large grizzly bear and wolves. The antagonists are trying to circumvent the Endangered Species Act for their own purposes. Shawn Bryant, an ex SEAL joins forces with new friends, Fish and Wildlife authorities, and a romantic interest to confront a trophy hunter, his guide, and a Yellowstone employee who has difficulty with his moral and legal obligation to the park. Bryant finds himself torn between romantic relationships and this creates conflict parallel to the problems with the men attempting to violate the ESA. The story builds from Bryant reconnecting to friends to a fast-paced drama that unfolds in the beautiful mountains of the Yellowstone Ecosystem.
