I couldn't stop crying and couldn't put it down

One of the best stand alone novels I've probably ever read. This one really hit me in the gut with the familial emotions, but there was enough love and friendship to make the tough emotional parts bearable and they were necessary to the story line. As the plot thickened the tears dried up and the suspense took over. The ending was wonderful. This is a book I'll recommend to anyone who's been through a life changing tough time, but ready to hoist themselves up by the boot-straps and get on with living.
