LOL

This book is a great way to bring comedy into the prep for the SAT. Funny sentences and stories make me want to keep doing all the problems and motivates me to continue my study

If only I could take the SAT again!

I wish I had this book back when I took the SATs. Not only is it a great read and hilarious, but it actually provides a real tutorial for the test. The only difference is that you can read this guide without falling asleep, unlike every other tutorial out there. I thankfully don't plan to take another standardized test for the rest of my life (I burned all my No.2 pencils in celebration), but this book should be mandatory reading for everyone in high school, or anyone else who just likes to laugh. I keep my copy on my coffee table, and everyone that comes over loves to read through it. My friends and I actually read the questions out loud to see if anyone knows the answer. I'm sure you could build a board game around it.

Only one problem

I found this SAT guide to be engaging and correct, for the most part. Question #12 of the math section on page 79 is incorrect. The correct answer should be 53.3%

Roll on the floor laughing. . . I didn't know it was possible from an SAT guide

I found this while looking for an SAT guide for my nephew, but couldn't put it down myself. And then I showed a friend, and he wouldn't give it back as he flipped through it. At one question, he laughed for a full minute! The author goes through all the different types of SAT questions, teaching the real information about the questions but with hilarious examples of each of the question types. Some of them sound like late night comedy jokes, which I guess makes sense since the author wrote for Leno. Math questions are also very funny. I didn't know this was even possible! This book is a really fun way to review the types of questions and take a practice test before going on to taking all the practice SAT tests you can get your hands on. When I was taking the SAT, I read a review book and then took 6-10 practice tests and got 2340 out of 2400. As someone who (thankfully!) doesn't have to take the SAT anymore, I found this book really funny and think it could actually help motivate someone to get started with studying for the SAT. Prior to taking a zillion practice tests.
