Maximum Amount Of Humor Legally Allowed

This is one of those books that anyone with an interest in, or awarenss of, lawyers and courts, should read. It wanders a bit off the specific topic of judges and lawyers but everything in it relates to the law, courtroom antics, the legal profession and those who find themselves in need of the legal profession etc. I found at least one chuckle per page and learned a few things I did not know about the wackier side of the legal system in the U.S. This would make a great gift to anyone in the legal profession or just buy a copy for youself and enjoy some light, relaxing humor. Highly reccomended.

Lots of Interesting and Boring Facts About the Law

If you just love the law, lawyers, judges and random facts then this is the book for you! This is like an encyclopedia of random information about the law. Some of the chapters were fascinating and some were tedious. I really enjoyed the section on the crazy things found on product warning labels (FYI don't install an antenna if you are drunk, pregnant, or both!). Other sections, like the one with the top ten songs about lawyers, seemed a little long and weren't that interesting. Overall, I really enjoyed parts of this book and kept reading to find the really interesting tidbits of information.

Actually Fun Law Reading

This book is really a pleasure to read. It brings the reader many fun and interesting facts about the law profession and laws in general. i personally found the chapter that listed some older state laws to be quite funny, some of them are different to say the least. I also found the list of celebreties who obtained legal degrees to be interesting too. Julio Iglesias, who knew?? Many readers will find this an entertaining and fun read.

Fun! Entertaining! Educational!

I wanted to review this book as I have a brother-in-law who is a Lawyer; I thought it would be fun for us to share the stories inside, and it was. I wondered how interesting this book would be, would it just be of interest to Lawyers or could lay people, such as myself really enjoy it. I am happy to report that they can. As I began the read I simply could not put the book down. There is so much inside the cover of this book that it will amaze you and no it is not technical reading, but interesting trivia, stories that will shock you, and rulings made by judges that will amaze you. All true. The story of the Supreme Court Judge who hated red nail polish was very interesting to say the least. I wondered how this man ever got to be a Supreme Court Judge and was not surprised when I read nobody and I mean nobody liked him. Interesting story. This book is not just for those who have an interest in law, althought they will love it. It is for anyone who has an interest in our country and just loves to read about trivia, zany laws, trials of the centuries or how about this: Five Strange But True Butt-Related Inventions. This book is packed full of interesting facts, great true stories, and information that you will be glad you finally know. I highly recommend this work. It's interesting. It's fun. It's educational. A top-notch read from beginning to end.

Fun, Light Book of Legal Trivia

This is not a book to buy if you are planning on attending law school and want to find out what the life of a lawyer may be like. It is, however, a funny and amusing read about the more trivial aspects of the legal and judicial professions. The subjects vary and are all over the spectrum from the most hated judge ever to serve on the Supreme Court to the test that is given to immigrants that are trying to become citizens. The book reads quickly and would be a great book for a plane flight or the beach this summer. A great book if you buy it with the knowledge that it isn't too much of a brain teaser.
