Good!

I think this one is better than the first "Housemaid" book! I love the twists!

An engaging sequel

In "The Housemaid's Secret," Millie is back again. She’s, grateful for a job with the Garrick family but she soon uncovers disturbing secrets within the household, leading her to make a solemn vow to protect Mrs. Garrick while contemplating the extent of her own involvement in seeking justice against Mr. Garrick's wrongdoing. **This is a sequel, make sure you read the first book before this one ** 1. **Plot and Storytelling:** I'd rate it 4 out of 5. The plot was well developed. Although I preferred the first book, this one had me hooked from the start and kept me engaged until the end. 2. **Characterization:** I'd give it 3 out of 5. While the characters were fully developed, I didn't feel Millie grew or evolved much in this book. 3. **Writing Style:** A solid 5 out of 5. I love McFadden’s fast-paced, concise writing. 4. **Originality:** I'd rate it 4 out of 5. This was a brand new story, but I docked a point because it closely resembled the first book. 5. **Emotional Impact and Resolution:** Another 5 out of 5. I loved the rollercoaster this book took me on. The twist was good, and the whole thing was a fun ride. Overall score: 4.2/5 If you enjoyed "The Housemaid's Secret" by Frieda McFadden, you might also like "The Last Mrs. Parrish" by Liv Constantine. It's a captivating psychological thriller that delves into the lives of wealthy families and the secrets they harbor, with twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the very end.

Great Psychological Thriller

What an excellent author. Freida McFadden has replaced Stephen King as my favorite author. What a great storyteller! This book 1 and book 2 are very good psychological thrillers. They are page-turners and unputdownable. I devoured both these books. If you like edge-of-your-seat books, this one is for you. Excellent characters that you love and hate and that Millie is something else. I found myself laughing at parts of it. Excellent job Freida. Can't wait to read more.
