When he was still a boy, Malchus was brought to the family of Joseph Caiaphas, the High Priest of Israel, as an indentured servant. Over the years he developed a deep devotion to his master, and like the high priest, Malchus is greatly disturbed by Jesus, the renegade rabbi from Nazareth. As the Nazarene's influence grows, Caiaphas determines his presence is a threat to the power and stability of the Temple that must be dealt with. When tensions reach their peak at Passover, Temple guards are dispatched to arrest the teacher and Malchus is directed to accompany them. Proud to assist in bringing about the troublesome rabbi's end, Malchus heads to Gethsemane with the guard. But there in the garden, Malchus is challenged in one dark desperate moment to face a truth he never believed possible.A portion of the sale from each book will be donated to The International Justice Mission; a Christian organization that battles against human trafficking and other injustices across the globe.
