Home Storage for keeps

Originally found this book at the library. I was so impressed that I had to get my own copy to highlight and refer back to. I am reading this book from cover-to-cover and am finding lots of ways to stop the clutter before it begins at our new-to-us home. We are moving!?! We are both pack rats and have been working a year to empty our abode of 16 years. I have begun making lists to keep us on track and am thinking of storage in a different way. No "junk drawer" in my new kitchen. Lost & Found basket on the dryer. Spice bottles will not become permanent residents; they will be dated as they come in the door. Do we really need both a breakfast bar/island and a kitchen table, plus computer/phone desk? Lots of duplicates (and triplicates and quads) are out the door to find new homes at our local thrift shop. I have a number of other books on organization, but this one strikes a grand chord for me. pj
