Not every mystery ought to be solved in the bustling city of Morris Island.

We follow the adventures of Dorothy McClintock, as her life is uprooted when she witnesses an occult ritual go awry in her local library. Hunted, on the run, she finds herself caught in the power struggle of two powerful groups as they try to grab influence in the renowned 'First City of the West'.

Taken in by the mysterious Lady Opal who arrives from the old world to deal with these groups in her own, tried and tested way, Dorothy must do what she can to aid her new benefactor as best she can. A turbulent election season awaits and the actions of a few will ripple across the metropolis and affect the lives of many. Along the way, they will meet strange and colorful characters, attempt daring and meticulously thought out plans, and perhaps be able to dispel the haze that has settled over the poor people of these new lands.

However, there is an unknown element at play here. Something Supernatural: a twisting, chaotic force that can be used to help or hinder anyone who speaks the right words in the right ways. Can Dorothy tap into the forces of the Unknown to fight fire with fire? Or will the dark underbelly of the city consume her in the same way it did her rivals?
