The Book of Luke: A Young Adult Focused Bible Study

Over the past several months, I have committed to a careful, prayerful study of the Gospel of Luke, shaping a guide that traces its portrait of Jesus Spirit-anointed Savior, compassionate King and the discipleship He forms on the road to Jerusalem. My goal is to offer a structured, accessible, and engaging resource that helps you read Scripture deeply, grasp Luke's historical and cultural setting, and translate its truth into everyday life. This project grows from a desire to connect God's enduring Word with the real questions and transitions young adults face today.
This study is designed with young adults (roughly 18-30) in mind those stepping into new independence, building careers, discerning relationships, and forming a durable identity. I envisioned this as a companion for seasons of uncertainty: a call to anchor your life in the person of Jesus, to cultivate Spirit-led courage, and to choose holiness, generosity, and mercy when convenience or cynicism feel easier. Yet Luke's wisdom reaches far beyond one age group. Whether you're new to the Bible, returning to faith, or a seasoned student of God's Word, you'll find fresh encouragement in its themes of joy, prayer, justice, and radical welcome.
Luke is an "orderly account" written to strengthen certainty about the good news of Jesus. It invites us to follow the Messiah who brings good news to the poor, lifts up the marginalized, restores the broken, and seeks and saves the lost. Along the way Luke highlights table fellowship, the ministry of women, the practice of prayer, the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, and the costly path of discipleship as Jesus journeys toward the cross and resurrection. Each chapter of this study will guide you with historical context, reflective questions, and practical applications so that the way of Jesus becomes a lived pattern of faithful presence at work, at home, and in your city.
This study invites you to walk with Luke as he lifts our eyes from the pressures of the moment to the person and mission of Christ: the true Son of Man, the Friend of sinners, the Lord who sends His people in the Spirit's power (and whose story continues in Acts).
