Excellent and encouraging

This book is a very real encouragement. Written well, it makes you read carefully, and think about what the author is saying. She writes from deep experience, as well as deep learning. I would highly recommend it. On another note, this book was described as "Like New Condition"... it is not. There is highlighted matter throughout the whole book.

A must read for all women!

I have read many books on Christian women's issues, and this is by far the best! In contrast to most Christian books for women on the market, it's not about how much harder we women need to try, or what we're doing wrong, but it's about how much God loves us and desires intimacy with us and how important our hearts are on this journey toward Him. Her writing is visionary and mystical while remaining firmly grounded in the Christian faith. This book has awakened my heart in a powerful way. It has given me vision and helped me to relax in God's love for me. If you liked any of the John Eldredge books, this one is a must!

This book is a keeper.....

...this book makes perfect sense. If you are feeling stuck or isolated or spiritually lost, this book will explain what it is that you are experiencing and will give you, in turn, a sense of hope and peace. The Lord understands the hearts of women all too well. I thank the author for this book and will continue to be a fan of hers. Write another one soon!

Change of Heart

This book has been greatly used by the Lord in my life. Along with His word and Prayer, God has used the words of Jan Meyers to chip away at the hardness of my heart and help me re-enter into a exciting relationship with him. I am a woman who often gets caught up in the rush of life that I forget about the Love Story that Jesus has invited me into. If you need to be reminded of the great love and adoration God has for you, if you need to remember that He is actively pursuing your heart, if you need to be brought back to the place where your heart is engaged in your relationship with Jesus...Please read this book!

Longing for a pursuing love?

Any woman who has a longing to be seen as intoxicatingly lovely must read this book. Jan writes about a Lover we are all looking for; one who sees that our loveliness is intoxicating, that our heart is full and substantial, and one who is drawn to know us. The author reminds us of something we have always hoped for but never believed could really be true--that we are deeply enjoyable, and that our strongest desires and passions are not too much for this Lover. Resting in the love of this Lover enables us to fully and courageously give our unique, alluring hearts in love and compassion to the people in the alleyways of life. Any man who loves a woman needs to read this book as well!

A Life Changing Read

This book was very powerful in my life. I read it at a time in my life when I really needed to understand the type of hope that God offers us. It helped me look at myself honestly and to learn how to share with God with my "raw self/feelings" and to find hope there. I could not put the book down. At times I cried, at times I sat in stunned silence and at times I called my friends to read them paragraphs from the book. You can't read this book and remain neutral to it's truths. I needed to hear what God has to say to me as a woman in a very busy, stressful life situation. There IS hope. The author is an amazing painter with words. I loved her description of the heart of a woman, and the way she points you to God.
