Captured My Heart

Wow! Can I just say I loved this book. Ok, I have composed myself from this emotional read and hopefully can do it justice. This story has you on emotional roller coaster as you feel every nuance of pain, struggle, and resilience of Maggie aka Eyes Like Sky. Garrett is a man of faith, great character, and patience who in these difficult circumstances becomes a swoon worthy character. I was totally gobsmacked by this story as it was so much more than I expected. The author has totally captured the turmoil they experienced during this historical time and captivated us with her storytelling ability. I am definitely hooked and am anxiously awaiting book two in this Lone Star Redemption series as my heart didn’t want it to end. I was completely invested in this story of second chances and healing of hearts that learn to love with the strength of God in their lives. Loosely inspired by real characters made it even more interesting. I was blessed to receive a complimentary copy from CelebrateLit. The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required.
