I couldn't put it down

Wow, what a well written book. It isn't predictable. A real page turner. The author does such a great job in describing the characters and scenes that you get the movie going in your head while reading the book. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

Excellent job Peggy - very tough topic!

Let me preface this with the statement that - I found this a very difficult book to read. Not through any fault of the author, the writing style flowed nicely, kept me involved and brought the characters to life - hence the problem. As a victim (I hate that word) of abuse the reality of this topic was too close to home for me! This book was a book club (on Eons) pick and several of the other people mentioned that they wanted to read it to understand - they had hoped to find a clue as to what kept women they have known, in this situation. Most were disappointed that the book didn't clear up the question...but as those of us - bright, intelligent, articulate, successful women - who have found ourselves in a similar situation can tell you... there is NO answer. The author does an excellent job of making us care about Dawn - all the while screaming "What the he__!!! We feel for the friends and family that warn her and most of all we feel for her child.
