Survival Kit Individual Lightweight Army Leg Holster is a guide book for collectors. This book contains information about the US Army "Leg Holster" Survival Kit that was developed by Rocket Jet Engineering Corporation. This Survival Kit was issued to Army Aviation Air Crews during the Vietnam War before the Army's adoption of the US Air Force SRU-21/P survival vest in 1969. There are over 70 color photos of the entire kit. Photos include: the "Holster", the "carrier", the "auxiliary" survival kit including: the "container" (consisting of the frying pan and the OD green plastic container bottom), the component "pallet", the "canteen" and the components. There is a chapter with dimension diagrams of the kit holster, frying pan and container. The appendix includes the US Patent that was granted to Rocket Jet Engineering Corporation, the introduction of the kit in Aviation Digest magazine and many pages from TM 55-8465-206-13.
