This book is worth the money!

I own a '95 Legacy "L" (FWD) sedan. I purchased this book to assist me in replacing the timing belt, and performing brake work. The manual is one of the best I have used. I have had Chilton, Haynes, and Clymer repair manuals for 6 or 7 different vehicles, and this manual is the most comprehensive of any of them. A previous reader rated this book very poorly, but apparently he/she did not notice that many of the "minor" maintenance items are covered in the front section of the book, including location and replacement of the PCV valve, which is not obviously visible on most Subaru's due to its design. The manual has excellent detail drawings showing various major components (drawings look like they came directly from a Subaru factory manual or parts manual). Caution, if you are not "mechanically inclined", or cannot follow mechanical drawings, this manual may be difficult for you. This manual is worth the money for anyone who is capable of performing much of their own repair and maintenance work. The book has a nice look to it (glossy cover with a good looking Outback on front!!).

sirs your book is well written but I have a86gl 1800 carburated 2wd 5speed no where does it tell me how or if i can flash trouble codes (ECS) though it lists codes can you help thankyou Dennis Buler
