Since fleeing his home three years ago, Byron has been drifting, fearful of causing more hurt than he already has. Every few months, Byron finds himself in a new town with a new job, keeping the world at arm's length. Due the zombie outbreak, that plan has changed.

Leaving the safety of the group's makeshift bunker is a death sentence, but as tensions rise, the price for staying might need to be paid in blood.

Needing to reconcile his past with who he is now, Byron walks a delicate path where one misstep could cost him life and the lives of everyone around him.
