Amazon got the title wrong

Probably explaining why there have been no reviews. The title is, Sam Adams's Revolution (1765-1776). Plus the book was published in the 70's. This is a fairly ordinary book about an extra-ordinary individual. Historians seem to split into two camps. One camp chooses to ignore Sam Adams while the other camp states that there would have been no revolution without Samuel Adams. The latter camp is closer to accurate. Sam was actually considerably more famous than John Adams into the 1780's. John made his relation to Sam a key point of his 1800 presidential campaign vs Jefferson. Yet Samuels grave was unmarked for decades. This book excels in painting a fairly vivid portrayal of the lives and culture of colonial America. It is as much a history of the revolution as a biography of Sam Adams.
