This book, "The Royal Cookbook -- Favourite Court Recipes From The World's Royal Families". is a suptuous treat, for both eyes and palate! It is a large, coffee-table book, with the pages inside possessed of a nice, large print size, and are slick and glossy, as well. Recipes from Royal families around the world -- cluding Asia, Hawaii and Africa. An introduction to each chapter gives an overview of the history of the country being disussed, with an emphasis on the role food played in that history. Lovely, sharp colour pictures -- large and small -- of the recipes given, are in this book -- and one also sees pictures of the royal personages, and royal palaces, inside and out, where they lived. All in all, a very special book indeed. Give it to any "King of the Kitchen", or "Queen of the Kitchen", whom you know -- including yourself!
