Red, White & Royal Blue (The FSOTUS and Prince of Wales Fall In Love)

In Red, White & Royal Blue, the FSOTUS (first son of the United States) Alex Claremont-Diaz attends the royal wedding of Prince Phillip and his bride. Alex attends with his spirited sister June and his rambunctious friend Nora. Prince Phillip’s younger brother, Prince Henry, gets under Alex’s skin, especially when Henry waltzes with June. Later, there’s an altercation between the two, ending in the $75,000 wedding cake being wrecked. To rectify the situation, Alex and Henry must learn everything about one another and act like friends for the media. A slew of interviews together, pictures, and media posts are enough to convince the public that they are the best of friends—maybe even lovers. Alex laughs it off, but the more time he spends with Henry, the more he realizes how human Henry is. Alex discovers Henry’s love of Star Wars, Cornettoes, and for his people—and people in general. Time goes by, and Alex’s New Year’s Party arrives. He invites Henry. Alex gives Henry the whole American party experience. That is until Henry gets jealous when he observes Alex kissing Nora. Henry steps outside to cool his head until Alex joins him. Henry tries to explain his feelings but can’t find the right words—so he shows Alex through a kiss. This starts the bromance between the FSOTUS and the Prince of Wales. Prince Henry is supposed to settle down and produce an heir in a few years. Alex is helping his mother, the first female President of the United States, Ellen, with her reelection. With so much at stake, the two keep their hot, new relationship a secret—until they can’t keep it secret any longer from their families, friends, and eventually the people of the world. So many cute and hilarious scenes. So much drama. So much love. I don’t want to spoil it too much (and because I can’t remember every detail of the book), but the book is a fantastic read. Honestly, I didn’t know this book came out until I watched the movie trailer. I decided I had to read the book before I watched the movie, and I can’t wait to see the film. I have so much love and respect for this book, especially the ending, and for Casey McQuiston. I wouldn’t mind reading a second Red, White & Royal Blue novel.

Cry your eyes out, laugh out loud, beautiful kind of love story.

This book has so much representation there really is something in it for everyone. Absolutely beautiful enemies-to-lovers story with fun royal and patriotic vibes.

Love this book!

This Is one of my favorite books!!!!

So good!

I absolutely loved this book. The story is sweet and I’m a sucker for the enemies to lovers troupe. It all seemed very fairytale like and somehow still realistic. I read the whole thing in one night

Sweet, simple, and adorable read

So sweet and cute! I loved this one ❤️ it's definitely a quick read and I absolutely adore all the characters! I love how easy the story was to read. And Henry and Alex were just too cute for words. Even towards the end, when things got complicated for them both, they still stayed strong and worked through the issues. I couldn't imagine being in that position and just saying forget it and im going to love who I love! Such a sweet and even inspiring story.

I loved this sweet romance.

It wasn't groundbreaking or a top-10-of-all-time favorite.. but this was an adorable book that definitely made me smile. Get it if you're on the hunt for a light-hearted escape!

On my Instant Re-read List!

This is one of the most brilliant books I have ever had the luck of stumbling upon. RWRB has some of the most wittiest dialogue, pulling-of-heartstrings that sucks you into the parallel world of the characters, and a heart warming message of hope and love. 10/10 recommend for those who are searching for somewhere to belong to. As Casey McQuiston puts it, "for the weirdos & the dreamers"

10/10 always recommend

Absolutely in love with this book! The characters are all uniquely endearing. The interactions (specifically the emails/texts) between Alex and Henry will have you in fits of laughter while also finding a way to tug at your heartstrings. I have no complaints with this book except that I’d love to read a sequel of Red, White, and Royal Blue! This is one of the very few books I’d willingly read over and over again.
