From the moment you find out you're going to be a father, everything changes. Everything.When the wife and I got a cat, I was relegated to third position in the household heirachy. When the dog came along, I dropped down to fourth. When Maude emerged I of course hit fifth spot. There is only one direction to go when a new small being enters the Foster home, and that's down. And that is fatherhood. Putting everyone else above you all the time. It's not that it's hard, it really isn't. It just takes a little getting used to - all the while you're tired, hungry and emotionally fragile. The first year and a bit are where you settle in to your new life.
