Little letters you don't want to miss

Oh, I just loved these little letters from life. Dick is such an honest, open writer. He is by turns funny and serious, mystified and amused by the life around him, which he observes and participates in with a big, joy-filled heart. Like the other reviewers, I laughed and I cried while reading these letters. And lucky Adriana, his wife: he clearly loves her to pieces. Really, this is a fun read that feels like a treat -- one you can't wait to savor after, say, a hard day at work. Congratulations to Dick! I hope this book catches on like wildfire.

Nicely Done

I just finished reading this delightful book. Actually, the word "book" is not really appropriate. Instead, this is a collection of "readings." Imagine sitting in front of a warmly burning fireplace in your coziest chair and having the author tell you these stories first-hand. That is what it felt like to read these postcards. I could see every part of Dick in these words. It truly reflects his personality...charming, warm and witty. My favorite postcards are the one about airline food, which gave me a belly-laugh, and the one about him carrying the photo of his new granddaughter, which brought a tear to my eye. Very nice work, indeed. Dennis Miller

This Man Can Write

I've never met Dick Paetzke but I do know this: the man can write. Most books of collected wisdom ooze with sappy, Hallmark card-type emotional gushing. This one is different. Dick Paetzke approaches each subject from such an unusual angle that you never quite know where he's taking you until you get there. Sadly, the world is full of people who have lots to say but who can never quite find the right words. Dick Paetzke is not one of those people. Dick can find the words. His descriptions sparkle brightly in the mind. Dick Paetzke is a talented writer. I, on the other hand, can only say in my stumbling way, this: Buy the book. You'll like it. It will make you smile and think good thoughts.

Postcards little letters from life

This enjoyable journey through life's everyday experiences must have been as much fun to write as it was to live. It was certainly fun to read.
