Filled with humor, romance and inspiration

In this book, "Ozark Weddings", you get three amazing stories written by two veteran romance writers, Anita Higman and Janice Thompson. The authors do an amazing job of describing each of the main characters. In 'Larkspur Dreams' you meet the very charming Lark who has never met a stranger. Her new neighbor is withdrawn and she is determined to draw him out. Can they overcome their differences and will the old adage ring true, that opposites attract? In the 'Love Song' you have extremely shy Clair drawing the attention of two men. Will she trust either of them with her heart? 'Castles in the Air' is the third story and in it we are introduced to Nori Kelly, a candy shop owner, who hears her biological clock ticking. When she has an encounter with Zack Martin, a "geek", will romance develop between these two? Filled with humor, romance and inspiration, this is one of those books that you don't want to end.

Told in the vernacular, these stories have a folksy tone that is relaxing, invigorating, and good-humored. Three romances are in this one book. They all occur in the state of Arkansas. All three couples are thirty-something. First, there's LARKSPUR DREAMS, set in Eureka Springs, Larkspur is an artist with a new neighbor. She has a plan of helping the accountant, who has moved next door, loosen up. Do opposites attract? Second, there is THE LOVE SONG. In this story an unpolished gem of a lady attracts the attention of two suave men. Who will win her heart? The city of Little Rock comes to life on the pages. Having spent repeated vacations at Petit Jean, I enjoyed the waterfall scene. Third, CASTLES IN THE AIR is the tale of a Hot Springs candy-store owner who has an encounter with a geek. Will there be a romance? All three stories sparkle with humor and romance. LARKSPUR DREAMS is a stylized tightly-written story. The other two reveal different facets of child abuse. CASTLES IN THE AIR is a slice-of-life page turner.

OZARK WEDDINGS - Read With Enjoyment

I'm usually disappointed in at least one story in a 3 in 1, so I read Larkspur Dreams wondering if this was the one that would disappoint. But, not so. I thoroughly enjoyed Larkspur Dreams. It was a fun, kept-my-attention read. Very satisfactory. Now on to the second, The Love Song . Again, good settings, good characters, a good read. All right, so it's the third one that will disappoint. But, again, not so. Castle In The Air was a very satisfactory read. The setting and characters were particularly intriguing. Maybe my favorite of the three, or, no maybe it was Larkspur Dreams that was my favorite? Although The Love Song tugged at my heartstrings. Oh, just read them all. So I have to recommend Ozark Weddings by Anita Higman and Janice Thompson. I found the writing well done. The settings built a story world. The characters especially believable. Filled with humor, quirkiness, and romance, I enjoyed spending a hot summer afternoon reading Ozark Weddings: The Hills Are Alive with the Ring of Romance (Romancing America).

Delightful!

Ozark Weddings is a delightful read, from start to finish! This three book collection tells the stories of true-to-life characters, complete with amusing flaws and hard-to-break habits. If these less-than-perfect people can find true love, anybody can. Anita Higman and Janice Thompson have done a fine job of delivering an entertaining, inspiring collection.

Beautifully written

An enjoyable collection of three stories set in Arkansas, I felt propelled back to the land of my childhood. With sensitivity, master of lyrical writing, the authors take the readers deep into the hearts of three wonderful couples, where romance is pure and sweet. So grab your favorite drink, curl up in your favorite chair, and spend a summer day immersed in the beauty that is the Ozarks.
