This study addressed the topic of music notation apps as support for teaching music theory, considering the contemporary transformations in the way students learn, interact with musical language and build theoretical knowledge mediated by digital technologies. The research problem focused on understanding how these applications can contribute to the teaching and learning of music theory, expanding analytical listening, rhythmic perception and symbolic reading in school and training contexts. The aim of the study was to analyze, by means of bibliographical research, the pedagogical potential of music notation apps in the teaching and learning of music theory, considering their impact on students' analytical listening, rhythmic perception and symbolic reading in school and training contexts.
