Over the past 5 years major technical advances have influenced the rapidly growing area of minimally invasive spine surgery. New instrumentation and techniques are being developed to permit an increasing number of spine problems to be treated with less invasive corrective procedures. Minimally Invasive Approaches to the Spine is an atlas describing the 18 most widely accepted minimally invasive spine procedures and the relevant anatomy, as it appears through the scope. The editors and authors include the neurologic and orthopedic spine surgeons who initially developed these techniques, and the list includes the biggest names in spine surgery today. Each chapter will cover indications/contraindications, equipment, anatomy, step-by-step description of technique, complications and clinical pearls. The book will be heavily illustrated and printed in 4/c throughout.
